Assuming I can get 4th row or so for the show, should I go for left or right of centre, as centre is not available? Alternatively, should I be in the last row of the Orchestra but centre?

Hey Melissa!

I saw Billy Elliot for the first time on January 3rd. I sat in the second last row of the orchestra right section. I be completely honest, they were the BEST seats I have ever had for any show. So I can just imagine how center orchestra is!!! I also heard people talking at intermission about how they wish they bought seats farther away from the stage. The show is extremely dance heavy and numbers such as "Solidarity" look better from the rear orchestra. Hope I helped! The show is awesome and I plan on seeing in again in February. - Ryan

Can't speak to the fourth row question, but I was in the last row at yesterday's matinee. I could see 99% of what was happening, but the mezzanine cut off the view of part of one scene. Didn't limit my enjoyment of the show as a whole, which was incredibly moving, but I did miss some of the magic in that scene.

I must agree with Amalia though..... one small part of the "Dream Ballet" is missed due to the mezz. But like they said, it didn't limit my overall enjoyment of the show.

I sat in various seats in the theatre, orchestra, and rear mezzanine. All of the seats had great views. I really don't think that there is a bad seat inlcluding the partial view seats.

Check for mezzanine, those seats are phenomenal for the show.

Is the rear mezz good? I'm thinking of trying that out instead of paying 126.50 + for a seat partially because I have already seen it.

If you've already seen it definitely try for the rear mezzanine, I've only been in the front mezzanine, but I have heard all good things about the rear mezzanine.

The rear mezz is just fine. In fact, anywhere in the mezz is great.

I was in th 41.50 seats...the last two rows. We were very near the center and the seats were great. Absolutelyl NO complaints. I'd like to sit closer the next time, but just for a different perspective.

(Although I admit...if the cheap seats were available for the perf I was attending....I'd probably snag them!)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I agree with dramamama, I also sat in the 41.50 seats, and they were great! I would really like to see the show from the orchestra, simply because I am sure it is way different from that perspective. That being said, I have no complaints about the 41.50 seats at all, and would definitely sit there again.
