Alice has been mentioned in all the correspondence I've received from Arena since N2N was announced...until last night. I got an email from Arena, and they mentioned Bobby Spencer, but NOT Alice. So something's up.

Wasn't there a playbill article saying she was doing it?

there has never been an official announcement about her publicly, only in Arena publications if I remember. I hope they're just waiting to publicly announce her on the day tickets go on sale. if they replace her there are only about 3 people i would consider acceptable enough to actually make the trip to DC for.
Suddenly, I have stopped getting arena emails. No idea why.
Hope Alice is confirmed soon- outside of Arena stuff.
(Hi miss pennywise....we must go see a show again soon...)

Chance-
According to Playbill, it'll be in Crystal City VA

Right, but "Crystal City" is really Arlington VA, so its really DC, its less than a mile from the Pentagon.

Arena Stage's Termporary Theatre in Crystal City

Any chance that Jennifer Damiano might be back in the show? She was excellent at Second Stage.

As much as i loved jennifer, i wish they'd get Morgan Weed. After i saw her in Saved i was sad i didn't get to see her go on in N2N
I would be more than happy with Morgan Weed, whom I also saw in "Saved," and thought she was terrific. And I enjoyed talking to her after the performance as well.

"Right, but 'Crystal City' is really Arlington VA, so its really DC, its less than a mile from the Pentagon."
Sorry, Chance, but Arlington, VA is in VIRGINIA (hence the "VA.") It is NOT in the District of Columbia. And the Pentagon happens to be in Virginia, too. NOT DC.
The Signature Theatre is in Shirlington, Virginia, which is also really Arlington, Virginia (who knows why), yet it is often referred to as being in "DC."
When there's a show in Hoboken, New Jersey, it is never billed as being in "New York." That's because it's NOT. Neither is Jersey City, Newark or Fort Lee. Two different states with their own legislatures, public school systems and history! Any argument that insists the distance between DC and Virginia makes them both "DC" defies logic, geography and reality!
Oddly enough, when my brother and his wife came down to see THE HAPPY TIME at the Signature Theatre with me, we went to a nearby store afterwards, and the manager asked where they were from. My sister-in-law said, "New York." My brother then added, "Well, really New Jersey" because they live about 12 miles from Manhattan. Then they had a big fight because my sister-in-law wants everyone to associate her with "New York," not "New Jersey." While I fully appreciate why someone would want to disassociate themselves from NEW JERSEY (just kidding!), I can't understand anyone thinking that if you tell someone you're going to the "theatre" in Virginia rather than DC, it's going to make any difference. Any way you look at it, you're still 250 miles away from BROADWAY!
Nevertheless, Husk Charmer, it is perfectly fine for Chance to say, "the trip to DC," for he will, in fact have to go to DC first, and it is very close. It's just not "really" DC.

I know arlington is in virginia, hence the VA, but its practically DC, if you'll look at the map, its roughly a mile from the pentagon and across the street from Reagan National, wildly considered the airport of DC, not Arlington.

This statement: "but its practically DC" is not the same as this statement: "so its really DC."

I understand where the **** things are, i can read a map. my point is that common considerations are that the Pentagon is in DC as is Reagan National, and the theatre is directly between the two. so, if you asked someone where they thought a building that was between two locations thought of as being in washington dc, they would tell you its in DC.
Wow, you're awfully defensive. No wonder you know so much about the Pentagon!

wow you're an awfully nitpicky bitch.

if i passed some on the street and asked them where the pentagon was, they would say Washington, D.C. not Arlington, VA. If I asked someone on the street where Reagan National Airport was, they'd say Washington DC, not Arlington VA.

My response to Husk was simply to explain that while the playbill article said crystal city, it's really Arlington, and a part of arlington near things that are "in DC" thus why i included a map, a map that shows, oh hey, IT'S ACTUALLY ARLINGTON.
edit, to anyone NOT Living in arlington with a lead pipe up their ass, it's really DC.
ETA again
To anyone not mentally retarded, my post wasn't confusing. I included a map, that pointed out EXACTLY where the theatre is. MP just felt the need to correct someone.
