Ok, don't really want to weigh in here but I will....
The Pentagon is located in Arlington. BUT the mailing address is a DC one.
On topic? DC theatre is great, but miss pennywise is right. Northern VA is not DC (says KCF, a DCer).
I totally agree with what y'all are saying having moved to NYC from NoVa a couple of years ago. However...when traveling, sometimes it IS DC that we go into, especially if by bus and it's just easier to say "I'm going to DC" than "I'm going to Shirlington, VA which is really in Arlington, VA which is in the greater DC metro area." :) But yes, I am aware that my bus will let me off in DC and I will take the Metro to Arlington where I will be staying in a hotel.
(And I still refuse to say "Reagan National". It's "National". LOL.)

Not to re-open a kettle of fish, but because I had never *heard* of Crystal City, I looked it up on a map, which showed it very clearly to be almost directly West of Norfolk (which is the only real place in VA that I am positive of location wise)...so now I'm doubly confused.

Not mapquest. :) It shows it in the right place there.
LePetite ~ Gotcha. :) I'll actually be there next weekend. Hee! Going for the Signature Open House (specifically Emily's concerts).

Ah, thanks for clarifying Fromage!
How I managed to misread Hill for City is beyond me...
Petite ~ Oh man, I know. When it was first announced and I was looking it up I was all "Oh cool! They have a box office in New York!" Then realized it was not the same thing.

This entire thread has been about "trying to help." With the exception of maybe one poster, everyone has been providing information about N2N, who is actually starring in it and where the theatre is. I know I was doing it because I LOVE this show and want to make sure everyone has as much information as they need to make plans to see it.
However, since DC, Arlington AND Shirlington (lol) are quite a trek for most folks on this board, I think they should be aware that Alice Ripley's association with this production may be changed. (I hope not, but, as we've said, it's happened before.) For me and KCF, it's no big deal. We live nearby and will go to see it whether Alice is in or not, but for New Yorkers (and those who live near New York although not in it (lol again), it may affect their decision to go through the hassle.
KCF, we know about the Pentagon's mailing address. It's just that a MAP was posted showing WHERE the Pentagon is actually located, so Fromage and I were simply responding to that and the way comments were written. I admit that I also just got fed up with the sock puppet and his nasty remarks, which he's been making in other threads too. I try to avoid that kind of confrontation; it isn't worth my time. But once in a while, it can be invigorating!
Happy Saturday!!!

So, is this being done in the round then? Wouldn't that hurt their chances of transferring to Broadway because they'd have to change a lot of design elements? Also, why is it their "temporary" home?
RB86, the Arena Stage received a huge donation from the Mead Family ($35 million) to renovate. Thus, the temporary quarters.
My understanding that this interim venue is not "in the round."
Ah, miss pennywise, gotcha on the P-gon. I didn't bother to look at the map that was posted.
And no, the temporary Arena quarters are not in the round. There is one big long narrow orchestra section in the Crystal City venue. If you are short, beware there is most definitely not stadium style seating. Not sure about the Lincoln Theatre venue. They didn't use it last season and I have not been there yet.

Which is why I'm holding off on buying anything. Much as I love the show in general, without her it is dead to me. I cannot and do not want to imagine anyone else in the role. Sorry.
