Book of Mormon Standing Room

I'm trying to schedule a trip to the city in August and my friend and I, like everyone else, wants to see The Book of Mormon. I've read on here that if you lose the lottery you can purchase standing room. I've never purchased standing room so I have a few questions about it:

Where is it located in the theatre?
Do you have to attempt the lottery first?
Can you purchase standing room as soon as the box office opens?

Help would greatly be appreciated! Thank you!

At this point, get there around 8:00am for standing room for an evening performance.

That help that would be appreciated has been discussed in a few threads. Just do a search and you will get your answers.

What time do you have to line up for a Sunday matinee?

Basically you have to get there early in the morning and wait until 1 hour before the show which is when they sell them. My friend did it Friday. She got in line at 8 am, and waited 11 hours. If you're willing to do that....go for it!. You're best bet is to do it for a matinee and therefore wouldn't have to wait as long.
