Since previews start this week, does anyone think the box will be selling morning of rush tickets? Looks like most of the performances this week aren't sold out.
I don't know about any announced rush policy, but I asked the box office two weeks ago and they said they'd definitely do standing room for any performances that sold out - but maybe not during previews / til after it opened. Since the theater is small, despite ticket sales, I wouldn't be surprised if most performances sold out mid-day and standing room became available pretty easily early afternoon - at least I'm hoping.
Thank you! I think I'm going to try for the Wednesday matinee. There's no option to buy the box seats on telecharge and for meteor shower they were selling those for cheap when the box office opened so I'm thinking they might do that. Or, if anything, possibly the "discount" rate which was $79 for extreme side orchestra partial view which they were also doing for Meteor Shower. I know this is a bigger draw, but I'm still hoping!
It appears so. Box office lady said rush and SRO might be available later on, just not for the first performance. I have a ticket in the mezz for a future performance but I really value being close to the stage so I kind of jumped on getting that box seat. I’m box right. I’ll share sightlines later.
Thanks so much for this info. When she said later on do you think she meant later on in the run or just not for this first preview? Looking to stop by on Wednesday, but would rather line up elsewhere if there's no chance they can sell me anything but a full price ticket.
I imagine she meant later on in the run, unfortunately. Probably later in previews/past opening night. I’ll ask again when I go Friday, I can stop by the box office.
For those that don’t mind last minute arrangements, definitely try StubHub... I was eyeing a pair of tickets for last night that was originally priced at $150... ended up getting them for $75 half an hour before the show... center orchestra, amazing seats. Even with their fees it ended up being cheaper than every other alternative really...
I got standing room this afternoon for the matinee. They were $40 and I got them at 12:30. They also still had some orchestra seats available when they sold them to me.
My suggestion is to watch Telecharge and get in line accordingly when the show is close to selling out. Dont worry about lining up early (at least at this point) if the show is not yet sold out.
Today was a rainy Saturday during previews. I got in line at 7:45 and that was WAY TOO EARLY! The box office manager came out at 9:45 to inform the 5 of us in line that they probably wouldnt sell standing room until the ahow was sold out (There apoeared to be about 15 tickets left on Telecharge). He told everyone to come back at noon. At that point everyone but me left the line. At 10:20 I was too cold to stay in line (and was the only person there), so i went into the Marriot to warm up. There were still 11 tickets according to Telecharge). At 11:10 I saw that there were 4 tickets left on Telecharge. I went into the box office and waited inside. Several other people came, inquired with the box office about SRO, and left. The next person to stay in line shoes up at about 11:40. The manager was telling people interested in the evening show to come back at 3. At 12:05 they sold me the first matinee SRO ticket.
Thanks Jbronsto and Imm121362, Just scored the last 2 SRO for tonight! I went in just after 6:20. I know I got the last ones because a couple went in a minute or two after me and they were told there were no more I’m curious to see Jim and the boot - reminds me of Andy Karl and GHD.
lm121362, you may have seen me! I came in around 10 and they told me to come back around noon. I came in at 11:45 and they said to wait a while. I didn't feel like it so I didn't stick around. Oh well!

Hi! I'm headed to New York next week and would love to see this show. Can anyone give an update on how rush has been? It seems from reading the above reports they don't release the sro (If they are available) until later in the day? Wasn't sure if it was best to arrive at the box office when it opened. Any reports would be greatly appreciated!

There is no rush for this show. Only SRO, which they have been selling lately as soon as the box office opens.
I did standing room yesterday and got in line around 9:30. There were only a couple people ahead of me. I don't know how many people ended up in line, but they took us right away at 10.

you were able to buy even with the show not being sold out yet?
They had appeared to be sold out as of the late afternoon of July 3 except for a handful of premium seats. I didn't check before I left the house, but other people in line had said they'd noticed the same thing.
