They had appeared to be sold out as of the late afternoon of July 3 except for a handful of premium seats. I didn't check before I left the house, but other people in line had said they'd noticed the same thing.
Gotcha gotcha. So I assume theyd sell SRO when they are almost sold out..thanks

Hoping to get two SRO tickets to tonight’s show. Asked the box office this morning and they said not until the show is sold out. Looks like a couple dozen seats left on telechargs.

Got a SRO ticket at 7PM tonight. It probably helped to get one that late that they didn't sell them as soon as they opened today. I also tried on Tuesday and they said they started selling them when they opened.
The overhang only cuts off the top half of their bodies so you can still see what's happening, no big deal.

They started selling SRO for yesterday's (Saturday's) evening show around 6:15p. Earlier in the day, they'd suggested stopping by at 4:30p, then at 4:30p they said to come back at 5p, at 5p they said to come back at 5:30p, and so on... until 6ish when a small line of us wanting SRO formed in the box office.
As far as I know, they did NOT sell SRO for the matinee yesterday as the show didn't sell out (or come close enough to selling out).

I don’t know if it was an anomaly given the holiday week, but I ended up scoring tickets yesterday through stubhub. They got as low as $25-30 for the matinee and evening shows right before curtain.
Should I go when the BO office opens tomorrow for the heck of it? I'll sorta be in the area....
Went when the BO opened this morning and the man said to check around 4-430ish....
Brad, were they signing autographs outside after the show?

Tuc, Charlie, and Matt came out to sign after. The security guard told us before anyone came out that Jim didn't and to have our cameras ready, etc. Matt didn't do pictures that I saw, Charlie seemed to stop and take one with whoever asked, though.

Hi - you said you got good deal on Stubhub - when did you buy them? Same day? CLose to show time? I am trying to figure it out and i saw last night someone had them and instead of lowering the price - just let the tickets go to waste.
Also - I stopped at box office close to show time the other day - box office still had tickets in orchestra but they were also selling SRO. I was wondering - do they EVER let SRO people move to seats if they are in the back of the theater? I am guessing not - but curious.

How do you know they went to waste? Maybe they just used the tickets themselves or gave them to a friend? And no, they don't move SRO people to empty seats.

There is no right time. People can lower prices whenever. I just sold a concert ticket for next Thursday cheaper than everyone else because I'm getting a sense that it is going to turn into a fire sale, so there is no way to predict.
Also, I have had tickets listed for shows and, if no one bought them, I just used them...
That said, there may be less rush seats for Boys in the future, as they just released a discount code this morning: https://www.broadwaybox.com/shows/boys-band/

Well - i was watching these tickets. There were 7 in mezz that went down to 6 about 15 minutes before the show - and 2 sets of seats in the orchestra. Then just before show time SH said no tickets available. I think definitely the group in the mezz were probably a ticket broker. Seems like they would lower them to get something. The fees are kind of high.
I am so glad I didn't buy any because I thought instant download meant you show ticket from phone! I would have been screwed - no time/place to print.
Thanks for the input!

Did standing room last night (7.12). I was third in line at 7:20, no problem getting a ticket. On the left side but could see everything, save for the partial "ankle" view for a few minutes here and there. Great deal to see such a fantastic show.
I was there tonight via StubHub - they have an office on like 40/7th, so just walked in and got my ticket. There’s also a bunch of food stands outside, so it was great for pre-show. It wasn’t sold-out as far as I could see - not sure if those were unused scalper tickets or what but wasn’t downstairs so no clue if there was standing room, but totally recommend the show. Some pretty cheap (compared to full price) options on Stubhub.

Is it worth trying late afternoon? Work prevents me from being able to rush during the week
Thanks!
Damn I wish they'd extend by a week hmpfh

Depends on the day. They sell SRO when the show is sold out. If it is sold out when the box office opens, you're too late. If they aren't, can happen at any point in the day. Not a mystery, though, can just look online and see what's up.

I did the same thing. I ended up spending $35 after fees for Mezz ticket 10 mins before show via stubhub.

I got good deal on tickets Tuesday night via stub hub. The price dropped right before showtime - I will say Stub hub pick up was not flawless - I had very little time to run up to the theater (they finally handed me my ticket at 6:54) - it was taking an unusually long time to get the tickets when I had minutes to make it there and there is no late seating. In the theater, I heard them call "minute thirty" as I ran to my seat.
I have to say that I have not seen low fees as people on this board have claimed. Even when price drops. I can't imagine a ticket including fees under $35!!
Show was fantastic - I would not have been able to see it without finding a bargain - not in the budget! I am grateful. I do think that many on stub hub are ticket brokers as the same seats are on sale in groups daily.
This show was superb. All 110 minutes flew by and progressed beautifully. Campy but serious, grounded yet theatrical. I loved it. The cast had wonderful chemistry.
I did TKTS today: Orcheatra F4. So pleased!

How much did that end up costing if you don't mind me asking?
Of course not... it was $150.
More than the discount code that’s out there but my seat was great. It was a good choice.
