Sadly, most off-Broadway shows lose their audience when they transfer. I hope this breaks that trend.

C'mon, this show is good, and it's only had a short run so far. Ths buzz is great and most of the people who are in its potential audience haven't had a chance to see it yet. I've said before I think it feels like an Off-Broadway show, but if any theater on Broadway is good for it it's Circle in the Square. This is great news.

For every AVENUE Q, there are a dozen A CLASS ACT's.
I think it will transfer well, though. I'm really rooting for it.

MEF - the thing Spelling has going for it is it's VERY family friendly, as I understand it.

Hmmmm...this is interesting and will sure throw a wrench in some Tony Predictions made thus far. SPELLING BEE in my eyes is the death knell for a show like LITTLE WOMEN to score a nod. Although I still think the 4 shows will be one of the folling:
SPELLING BE
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
SPAMALOT
LITTLE WOMEN
LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA
or CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG!
Acting wise, im not so certain it will be an acting category hog. I havent seen it yet, but it doesnt seem to be winning that high of praise for its cast, just its creative and inventivness. But this sure as hell makes things exciting...:)

I thought Dan Folger and Jesse Tyler Ferguson did great jobs, and a lot of people seem to adore Celia Keenan-Bolger, though I thought she was missing something when I saw her. (That was the second preview, though, so it's entirely possible I'm wrong there.)
This is a very ensemble show, though, which means that no one person gets a big-time powerhouse role. That could hurt the actors come Tony time.

I definitely see it getting nods for Musical, Book, and Score. Folger and Ferguson probably both have a solid chance for Featured Actor. Not sure which of the women they'll choose. So happy for the show and I think Circle In The Square is a great space for it.
