wow. 49 posts and nobody used the phrase "got his nose out of joint". Amazing willpower, posters.
And 1<3bway, i think the proper phrase if "When he gets hurt, that's comedy; when I get hurt.... well, I'd never be that stupid...."
Wouldn't they have use used all of the technical stuff at the rehearsals? I don't understand how Bret didn't know about it.
Of course he knew about it, but saying that means no law suit. He was just showboating & didn't go back up with the band. It was his fault!
Those saying that we wouldn't laugh if it was Dolly or Liza, I wish it DID happen to Dolly so we can see what is under that wig.
I was at the dress rehearsal. He got into the correct position (on the riser with the other band members) during the dress. There may even be a vid somewhere that shows it. His publicists statement is BS.
I hope there is. Someone should send the evidence to the TONYS lawyers.
Yep here it is.

There is a video on ...
that site.
Hmmm. They were able to bring the mics up at the appropriate times during the dress rehearsal too...
If the drop was half a ton, it was automated. A flyman can not pull that heavy a load. Automated scenery can be stopped almost immediately if necessary.

It's too bad they didn't keep everybody inside Radio City. They had Jessica Fletcher right there. She could have solved the mystery of who's trying to kill Broadway? And Brett Michaels while they're at it?
