Oh his poor nose. Well, he's okay and it's still funny as hell.
Which is it? Broken or Not? We keep getting conflicting reports.
Perhaps the gods of live theater were punishing him for lipsyncing?

Fractured nose and 3 lip stitches according to his publicist.
And THAT'S why only professional singers should do Broadway.

Has the floor of RCMH been properly sanitized?
oh, my nose
No sympathy.
I wish we could have see what he hides behind his cowboy and bandana!
Something tells me that a man who survived the Whiskey A Go-Go metal days of the late eighties can handle this.
All I know is, if you laughed, you are an awful, awful person, because there's nothing funny about it. I learned that on BroadwayWorld.
What if you rewound it and laughed at it twice? The first thing my father said was, "Did we just see a guy get killed?"

"oh my nose" <-- LMAO! Post of the week!
I guess he didn't watch that episode of "The Brady Bunch"...

I'm glad someone picked up on that :)
Did his publicist also mention a blow to his ego as the biggest wound he suffered?

I didn't get that at all. I read one quote where he said he's been hit by harder things in his life. He stayed to watch the end of the show before going for x-rays. And Rolling Stone reports it was a trippy experience for him in the moments after he hit the floor.
?He told me, 'All I remember is Shrek and the donkey helping me up, and Liza [Minnelli] giving me a towel,'? rep Joann Mignano said.
Do we at Broadwayworld think it might be possible for us to stop projecting all sorts of extraneous crap onto this event?
nose fracture from Tony mishap
Isn't that what is done on BWW? Project extraneous crap on the internet on a variety of topics?

I agree. There have been a lot of different accounts about what actually happened. I read one article in which Bret was quoted as seeing Alice Ripley delivery the craziest acceptance speech he had ever seen.
I find this hilarious.

As much as I should be feeling bad for him...
And how much I realized it must have hurt...
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is hilarious.
'oh my nose' -> amazing!
i think it was hilarious!
I don't find anything about this funny. Whatever you think of the man or anything he did, he showed up and performed when he could have chosen not to. With "Poison" there, the show picked up media attention it wouldn't have received otherwise and we all know the Tony Awards needs all the help it can get in that area. Besides, no one deserves to be laughed at for getting injured, no matter what you may think of them.
HE DIDN'T EVEN SING!
