Im so glad it was wonderful and you had such a great time, Melissa. I understand why it bombed on Broadway, but the score remains one of the most stunning pieces of art I have ever heard. Kelli and Steven are magical performers apart but when they're together? I sincerely hope they do another musical together, which would be their third.

Whitney's Another Life, the audience's response AND Whitney's reaction to the audience's response was my favorite part of the evening.

I was there last night as well. Saw it twice on Broadway back in 2014 and LOVED it both times. Last night was magical. Kelli and Steven sounded glorious. How is it possible that Kelli has maintained her voice so incredibly over the past 21 years when I was first introduced to her on a Broadway stage? There really are no words to describe how outstanding "Almost Real" was. She deserves to have at least three Tony awards by now. I love Jason Robert Brown's Tony-award winning score so much, feel so fortunate to have been there last night and have been listening to the cast recording all morning. A truly perfect evening at Carnegie Hall.

Agreed. "To Build a Home" and "Another Life" are probably neck and neck for my most-played song from the cast recording. Glad to see much of the audience enjoyed Whitney's performance as much as I did, and you could tell she was not expecting the enthusiastic and lengthy applause she received (but absolutely deserved). It was also nice to see her perform her cut song from Act 2 ("He Forgave Me"), which I had never heard before.  Would love to see her do more work on the New York stage!
