Bring Stokes to Sweeney!

Hey all....

This thread, as suggested by sanda, is a campaign to bring Brian Stokes Mitchell to the role of Sweeney Todd in the upcoming Roundabout revival. We can also discuss ideal Lovetts. Stokes is perfect for this role. He had played it before. The most important, he Love it. He always want to play Sweeney Todd. He could act out of all his passion for it.

I would cast Gavin Creel as Antony.

Melissa Ericco isn't young enough for Johanna. And I don't think she has the soprano to pull it off.
Marin Mazzie would make an amazing beggar woman. So would Nancy Opel, and I would love if Victoria Clark reprised her role.

Yes, Stokes come back to Sweeney. Granted I would buy tickets to see Stokes change a lightbulb.

Stokes as Sweeney, Baranski as Mrs. Lovett, Marin Mazzie as the Beggar Woman, Peter Lockyer as Anthony and ME as Tobias! Well, if they decide to go for a high schooler instead of a short younger looking graduate. DAMN YOU YOUNG LOOKING GRADUATES! YOU'RE STEALING MY PARTS!

yeah it is. Mainly cuz Terrence Mann was Rum Tum. But its one of my favorite roles.

I actually think Terrance Mann would make a terrific judge.

The idea of Christine Baranski as Lovett really doesn't make me excited. I want Patti LuPone to do this eight shows a week.
