Isn't it time to bring back Urinetown, it shows this musical is quite popular in Europe with productions in Germany and Italy and now heading for Amsterdam.
Bring it back please!

Not when it's doing just fine in regional theatres and colleges all over the country.

Posted: 6/17/09 at 7:35pmAs long as we get Neil Patrick Harris as Bobby and Beth Leavel as Pennywise, I'm cool with it.

He most likely DOES speak English .... just not in a Dutch production.

I don't know. Your ex-boyfriend was pretty good in the role. But then you impersonated him via e-mail to screw him out of a job. So maybe seeing him succeed in life would make you pretty bitter, even if it would be the karma you deserve.

The guy's name is Jamai Loman. He was 16 years old when he won the first season of Idols. At that time he was actually pretty bad and not really goodlooking either. I'm kind of pissed that this is already sold out in Holland, because I really wanted to see it.
I'm pretty sure Jamai speaks English. There actually was a rumour some time ago that he was hired to play Marius in Les Mis on West-end. Instead he ended up doing that part in Holland.

My experience is that EVERYONE speaks English in Holland,
so i guess these actors will be no exception.

Posted: 6/18/09 at 8:29amI miss Urinetown a lot...it ranks right up there in my top 5 favorite musicals. I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway and on tour in Boston and it was fantastic both times.

It is in my top 3 of best musical production as well
I saw it during my many visits to Broadway, just didn't expect it would have such an impact on us
On or off broadway i don't mind but just: bring it back !

Posted: 6/19/09 at 8:10amI think Terrence Mann would also be a great Officer Lockstock. Has a "Javert"-like quality......

Posted: 6/19/09 at 5:38pmI agree with Beth as Pennywise, but I think someone a little younger should be Bobby. NPH looks young and I love him to death, but I think he looks a teeny bit too old to be playing Bobby.
