I definitely love how on Stephen Sondheim's myspace, there's a bunch of teenage kids (not that there's anything wrong with being a teenage kid, of course) commenting with stuff like, "Hey Steve!"

If that really is him, which these people obviously believe he is... I would be terrified to even comment, let alone call him "Steve."

Also funny... the only picture comment his has...is from "Nathan Lane."

I just made a myspace and I am beyond lost. You're not allowed to comment on anyone's page until they friend you, but how do they know to friend you or not if you can't comment?

LOL, dancingthrulife, just send people pvt. messages so they befriend you or sometimes just add them and they'll add you back if they like your profile w/o you needing to contact them.

Some actors have Friendsters (A bunch of former ASU ensemblers, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kate Wetherhead), and some have MySpaces (Celia Keenan-Bolger, Barrett Foa, Jenna Leigh Green). Some have both (Jenna, Barrett, Michael Arden...). I'm pretty sure they are all real. Unless it was a really well known name like Idina or Shoshana, then I don't think they would need a fake one.

Okay, I found an Idina profile that looked legit, the menzelmusic one, and I sent her a message. She just responded and it sounded like it could be from her, she signed it xoxo, idina(like she does in the letters on her website).My only problem is the time on the message. It says 6:40, so it would've been 9:40 in NY. Isn't the first preview of SWIWS tonight. Wouldn't she be onstage? If anyone can clarify, or knows if the profile is fake, let me know. I want proof that it's real before I get excited about the message. Thanks <3

The f-ing rent movie myspace isn't even friends with me. Baaaah. Haha...my friends and I saw a myspace band on the train today. They were thrilled that we recognized them. Love them emo kids. Emo xcore, werd. Sidebangs, so scene.

Shoshanna, well known? I mean she did respond to her fan mail in the distant past...

I'm sooo looking to the day I make it, and I get my own myspace posers. Oh Idina, I envy you.

I'm so upset that we all have to question the validity of these profiles! I mean, fifteen year old American kids are supposed to be out having fun and learning all about sex, not creating fake profiles of Broadway actors that we actually want to reach just to show our support or admiration. Like if a fan creates a profile for a certain show/actor then they should be clear about it instead of making us think they are real! OK, sorry, had to get it out of my system.
Try to post links, please! Like I tried to look up Jenna Leigh Green's and couldn't find it, does anyone have a link to hers? Oh and I think the Rent movie decides they're too cool for me and has not added me either!

If my message came from some pre-pubescent, pimply 15 year old, and not Idina, I'll be pissed. Don't these kids have anything better to do than assume someone else's identity? Anyways, I guess she could have sent it from backstage. By the way, when you search for Jenna's page, it's under Jenn Green. No Leigh. I'm almost postive Jenna's is real. I hope that helps :)

btw, is stephen sondheim actually gay? Why would his headline on myspace say my plays are better than yours. That doesn't seem like something he would say. Maybe that's just me... so yeah.. i can't really find MY favorite broadway actors.... oh well...

Sondheim is indeed a homosexual, he lives with his partner if I'm not wrong. But I doubt he would have a myspace.com profile, it is Stephen Sondheim so no. Thanks for the info on Jenna Leigh Green's profile.
