"Brigadoon" opened on Broadway in 1947, the year I was born. Perhaps y'all might like to pass along some Broadway stuff from the year you were born. Anything you choose, any format you choose.
So....
Lerner and Loewe's "Brigadoon" opened on March 13, 1947, at the Ziegfeld Theatre. It played for 581 performances and starred (among others): David Brooks, George Keane, Marion Bell, Lee Sullivan, Virginia Bosler, James Mitchell and Pamela Britton.
Agnes de Mille received the "Tony" for "Best Choreography".
"Brigadoon" is a particular favorite of mine because of my Scottish heritage and because I lived in Scotland for four years (several decades ago).
1964--February--the day after the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show.
It was the year of Hello Dolly!, She Loves Me, Funny Girl, and Barefoot in the Park.
