Can we discuss today's event without getting the thread deleted?
In addition to the most beautiful dancers--male and female--taking off their clothes for charity, tonight's show will feature a fun array of guest stars, each a reason to attend him- or herself:
Charles Busch,
Kristin Chenoweth
Alan Cumming
Lea DeLaria
Felicia Finley
Katie Finneran
Debbie Gravitte
Julie Halston
Jackie Hoffman
Jane Krakowski
Sebastian LaCause
Reichen Lehmkuhl
Norm Lewis
Lucy Liu
Julia Murney
Christopher Sieber
Bruce Vilanch
Lillias White
Vanessa Williams
This year's goal: to raise $1 million for Broadway Carees/Equity Fights AIDS, which is of course major supporter of seven programs at The Actors’ Fund: The AIDS Initiative, The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative, The Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic, The Dancers’ Resource and three supportive housing residences.
Here's a video preview on the local Fox news channel:
Broadway Bares All to Fight AIDS
my prediction is that Charlie Williams will raise close to a million dollars by the end of the first show.
They're at $930,000 the day of the shows, but I don't think Charlie is responsible for ALL of that...
Benjamin Walker could probably raise the next $70,000.
This thread won't stay G. PG-13 AT LEAST.
Just try not to t get it deleted, okay?
A friend just invited me, so I'm all excited.
What are the "rules", dress code, etc..? Or non-dress code?
I'm off to bed now (UK time).
It would be good if this thread was still here when I wake up tomorrow.
With photos.
Just as I wake up tomorrow.
shira, dress light -- it gets quite crowded and hot inside! I'd recommend shorts.
I'm skipping this year. I've gone three times and decided to take a break, but you guys who are going (especially the virgins) have a blast!

Thanks Calvin! I'm all excited.
Plus, I'm a board game lover. So extra fun!
The show was hot, very hot, extremely especially:
The guest stars: Euan Morton singing the opening number with Vanessa Williams and Kristen Chenoweth and Katie Fineran and Jackie Hoffman being funny.
* The Jail number--with Sebastian La Cause as the Warden)
* The Waterworks number--set in the locker room and featuring, well, watersports, first on the utterly adorable Matthew Skrincovsky and then on the audience
* The Boardwalk number, featuring the staggeringly beautiful John Carroll as The Situation and a bunch of very sexy guidos and Joisey gals
* The Hotel number, witb this year's Mr Perfect, Charlie Williams, trying to provide enough towels to some very de-MAN-ding ladies, and losing all his clothes in doing so.
* The aerial work, as always, was breathtaking.
Vanessa Williams, Euan Morton, Kristen Chenoweth, performing the opening number.

Now THAT'S a tan line.
Some close-ups from a friend.
Vanessa and some boys.
Josh Buscher from West Side Story gets dressed down.
The beautiful John Carroll in the Italian-flag bikini and Alex Ringler of West Side Story next to him in the board shorts.
Alex Ringler and Reed Kelly
The aerial work knocks me out each year.
Charlie takes care of the hotel "ladies":
Ooops! Well, that's why they call it Broadway Bares.
Katie Finneran gets arrested by Jackie Hoffman
Sebastian La Cause and the boys in jail.
Matthew Skrincovsky in the Waterworks number, with Ward Billeisen and Dave August behind him.
Are you sure this is John Carroll?
Because I think it's Josh Buscher from West Side Story also.
Just got back from the midnight show. Katie Finneran and Jackie Hoffman stole the show. (As though people should be shocked). Choreography-wise, I thought the Shut Up and Drive number and the Jersey Shore number were the best.

Anyone have video of some of the performances?
I'd like to hear Alyssa Wing Electricity
That was one incredible night. Just in terms of sheer "what it takes" to put that on, and the commitment. Just amazing.
