Oh please, this is BS. Even If i was old enough too vote, I sure as hell wouldn't let your opinions change mine, or change the way I vote. Anyway, I will be a proud Republican when it come's time too vote.
And anyway, get over it, Fox News is the best! Leave it too the Liberals for comments like that.. *rolls eyes*

1. I realize it's quite doubtful I'll change your political opinions. Most people are intractable in their party affiliations.
2. Regardless of my comments before, I really am glad you're going to vote when you get old enough. More young people need to vote, regardless of party affiliation.
3. Fox News is the best at slanting things towards the right, to the point of inaccuracy. That's one point I won't budge on.
4. If you want to continue this, let's do it on PM before this thread gets tossed to the OT board. :)

Geez, sorry for the dust-up. I phrased that wrong. I didn't realize the RNC purchased tickets for distribution to the delegates; I thought they had a list of "recommended" shows (it was late, the wrong word came to mind).
Anyone else actually planning on ATTENDING during the convention week, thinking no one else will be going to shows that week?
It just sounds like a godawful mess, to me.

I don't like or dislike people because of their political affiliation but I'd like to say that I am willing to vote 'off party' if the person appeals to me and that if there are Republicans out there who are voting for Bush just because he's the Republican candidate and in spite of what he's done to this country over the past 4 yrs...that truly frightens me.
I happen to be a Democrat but have voted for Republicans when I thought they were the better candidate and without insulting anyone that likes Bush on this board I'd like to say that if Bush gets in for another term I am TRULY FRIGHTENED. We will be living in a police state with a totally amended constituation that includes religious overtones (the exact reason we overthrew the OTHER KING GEORGE so many years ago).
Though there has been much discussion about the shows the RNC got blocks of tickets to and someone mentioned that these were just the shows that had enough seats available it IS interesting that NONE of these shows are offensive or politically inflammatory in any way. I'm sure the creative team of the Frogs would have done a special performance of the show on their off day if the RNC really wanted to go :)

I can gladly change my vote to Democrat if the situation presents itself. And I'm sorry, but even many Democrats are like "Anyone but Bush!" Yes. Which means that they'll pick whoever is at the other spot, and just not Bush. And THAT frightens me when they don't know what they're talking about.
John Kerry wouldn't make me change my mind in this election. He's not the better candidate this time, in my mind.
