Only one I'm actually seeing in the Fall is The Band's Visit and I could not be more excited.

Really tough call for me.
I'm excited for the Band's Visit because of the hype, and because I've seen far too few great new musicals in the past year.
Mark Rylance is one of my absolute favorite actors, and I don't think Nice Fish was a very good showcase of his talents, so I'm excited to see him in something else. That said, at the moment there's nothing about the play itself that I'm particularly looking forward to (I'm not pre-judging it, just saying it doesn't inspire feelings of excitement in me yet)
M Butterfly is probably the one that excites me most on paper. I love Taymor, the play, and Owen.
And I've been itching with curiosity to see Spongebob ever since I saw what direction they were going with it. I grew up on the show, and it looks like the production could be really fun.

Planning a trip right after New Years to see OOTI, Meteor Shower, The Band's Visit and M Butterfly.

I'm coming to town in November and so far I've got tickets for A Band's Visit, OOTI and Meteor Shower. I really love musicals over plays but I can't bring myself yet to comit to Spongebob or- Margaritaville. So, I'm looking now at plays - M Butterfly - Time and The Conways - also looking at Clockwork Orange. Otherwise I might be repeating some show that I've seen if they are still around. I've never seen Phantom in NYC - so that's going on my list. More for the theatre experience than anything.

Without a doubt ...Farinelli. Mark Rylance is this era's Mozart of theatre .... elegant simplicity.

I posted my excitement about seeing The Band's Visit yesterday, but there are also two plays I'm looking forward to seeing. One is Meteor Shower, and I know that there was a big article by Riedel yesterday about how fast tickets are selling because of Amy Schumer, but it also stars Laura Benanti and I just love her. And the other one is The Parisian Woman, not only because of Uma Thurman but because the subject of the play intrigues me. (I love House of Cards.)

'Island' and 'Butterfly'. Probably 'The Band's Visit' once I know more about what the musical is about, and why all the hype already.

Island and Band's Visit, no contest. After seeing the clip of Haj-Butrus and its jaw-dropping orchestrations, I'm completely sold on Band's Visit. I'm guaranteed that will sweep the Tony's next year. Other than that, OOTI seems like a whole lot of fun. I love what they're doing with the gender-swapped gods (we're talking Lea Salonga!), and all the poc representation is much needed and appreciated. I'm going to have a tough time deciding between Island or Band's Visit, but both look to be really good.

The show is an adaptation of a movie of the same name, and the hype is based on the incredible critical acclaim it received off Broadway. No mystery

I'm not excited by any of them, though I will be seeing The Band's Visit based on word of mouth, and also maybe one of the plays. None of them really stand out for me so I'm waiting for reports back before I decide on one.

I'm not really excited about The Band's Visit because I didn't really care for the film. I hope the musical can improve on the source material. But I thought the movie was pretty corny.

Bought tickets to The Band's Visit based on the buzz from Off-Broadway and a 30-second clip of "Omar Sharif." It will be the first time I see a show without being familiar with the entire score, and I CANNOT WAIT.

Well, The Band's Visit is the only Broadway show this Fall that's already been presented on a New York stage, so the safest bet in a way. (I loved it!)
