Why are being so nasty to Amneris Pop? She never did anything to you. Her parents are producers of Bklyn...so what? Shouldn't we be wishing her well instead of delighting in the bad reviews its gotten?
If your parents produced something and it got bad reviews we'd be still wishing you good luck and hoping for the best. So Bklyn is not FANTASTIC theatre to some of you..but it still employs actors and helps them make a living..not to mention that the performers are outstanding.

Like I said, I'm not a big fan of the show. I thought the performers, for the most part, were great. I'm curious, though, how many of you who have posted your opinions here have actually seen the show?

Firstly, I am not delighting in Brooklyn's bad reviews. Secondly, I am being nasty to Amneris because she was not exactly truthful about her parents involvement with Brooklyn. She comes on here and praises and defends Brooklyn and at the same time she bashes other new shows (Little Women, for example, which hadn't even started its out of town tryout when she was loudly proclaiming it to be so bad that it wouldn't make it to opening night). Given her vested interest in Brooklyn, this puts her several levels beneath a shill in my book. And I hate shills. So you can imagine how I feel about Amneris.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

But, there is no reason to "HATE" someone you do not even know because they "shilled" a show. How many people on this board are actual fans of shows? A lot yes.. but, on the other hand how many come off as fans and are either in the show or are associated with it in some way?
Plus about LW, I only stated my FRIEND heard the music and said it was bad. That was her opinion. I got my ass smacked for it here. But, according to all the "regs" i trash EVERY show.
I personally feel a lot of people here are hypocrites including myself. I also feel that a lot of people were nicer to eachother before certain people started posting. Those people who were nicer obviously side with those who aren't so welcoming so they won't get bashed.
I apologize for any hurt I have caused and hope we can move on. Like I said , I'm handing over my soap box to Tiny-Toon hehe.. Cause this boy really isn't a shill.

Amneris didn't admit to being DIRECTLY connected to BROOKLYN until long after she trashed several other shows, all the while praising her PARENT'S production, it's just plain wrong.
After said reveal, she promised to stay clear of the BROOKLYN mash threads and be "on the up and up"..I actually gave her credit! Foolish me, oh well, human nature is a complex beast.

Yes, they go crazy, because the producers are giving them free tickets with the stipulation that they applaud and scream and stand so that gullible people like you believe the show is a big hit when it's barely limping along. I've worked on shows like that. I'm not making this up.
