Hamilton takes the top spot for highest grossing musical for the week. Is that the first time?

Not to be confused with Dave19.

I think this might be the first time Hamilton has beat Lion King? If not, then it's one of the few times.

EDIT: Posted this at the same time as the poster above. I guess we think alike.

When the top ticket price is $475 (!!!) then I guess I'm not surprised.

Imagine what Hamilton's gross would be if all of those stubhub/ticketmaster exchange tickets were included. You'd have to figure there are probably a couple hundred of re-sold tickets per show, with most of them going for between 100-300 above face value and some going for a thousand above face value. That could raise the gross by almost 100,000.

I believe Hamilton reached #1 one other week, but it was a week with 9 performances.

Gypsy is right.

I appoligise for any spelling mistakes. I may be on my mobile. Clumsy fingers and small little touchscreen keys don't mixx. I try to spellcheck, but I may miss something.
