Wow, did Spring Awakening possibly make their nut this week? That's a first.
Wow, theaters have to love the Christmas holiday season. Finding Neverland almost 1 .5 million and Wicked almost 3 million.
Damn, good week. Not surprised though, given the time of year.
What a nice sendoff for "Dames At Sea" and "Therese Raquin" (two shows that I saw recently). Those are awesome numbers for "Chicago"... a million plus. That doesn't happen very often. Wow!
$1,033,996 (updated weekly grosses)
$652,030 (previous week's grosses)
$381,966 (increase in grosses)
$1,025,846 (full gross figure)
100.8% (wow!

Yes. These numbers are not surprising. This happens every year. Almost 2 million for Hamilton, if we're just naming numbers.
I don't think you can consider "jumps" to closing shows, Dames at Sea and Sylvia since the previous week there were only 7 shows as opposed to 9 this week. So technically they didn't have great weeks which is why they closed. I liked both shows very much and am sorry to see them go.

The key for a few shows wil be the next 6-8 weeks.

Was at Spring Awakening again on saturday night, seemed to be sold out!, (at least in the orchestra), I do know they were close to sold out the entire week,s o happy about that. For anyone wondering my TDF seats were side orch row O seat 21, great view!
Also looking at what is available this week on ticketmaster, a lot has ben sold especially for weeknight performances, I wonder why? given that i'm sure many tourists just left the city.
Nice to see Hand to God go out on a high note (well for them!)

What shows are you referring to? The only show that is struggling and hasn't announced closing is Allegiance, IMO.

happy to see Hand To God played 94.5% capacity, a good way to go out!

Finding Neverland for example. Lots of people have wondered how it will do after Matthew Morrison leaves in January.

Beautiful numbers. Matilda's 100%+ capacity makes me smile.

Finding Neverland probably just wanted to maximise publicity on the current cast for over the holidays, amazing week for them! It must be coming any day now.

If you click on a show's name on the gross page it will take you to the historical gross section for that show. From there you can see every week that is recorded by clicking on "All" in the list of years. Once there you can click on any of the column headers and it will order the weeks using that criteria first, so you can easily see things like the highest grossing week ever, the highest attended week, etc.
Hopefully the numbers for "Sylvia" will show producers that Matthew Broderick is no longer a bankable "star" and they will stop casting this incredible NON Talent.
4000 seat theatre and my right.
The Fox theatre(a different one this time) helps wicked triumph on the road again!
I checked the figures for 2012:
For the week ending 1-1-12 that weekly gross was $1.065, 501; (potential gross: $1, 216, 95
87.55% (Gross % potential)
For the week ending 12-30-12: that weekly gross: $1,174, 672: (potential gross: $1, 276, 65
92.01% (gross % potential)
For the week ending 12-29-13: $1, 059, 107:
