Shows typically only close if the running cost (nut) becomes higher than the gross -- and usually if a show is early in the run, they're willing to put a few weeks in to where the gross is lower than the nut so the show can build an audience. Cher Show is still pretty new, and raking in over a million dollars a week, so it's definitely fine. Attendance doesn't really matter as much, other than the fact that it means fewer chances of selling full-price tickets.
Not to mention, the typical Thanksgiving boost tends to do well for family oriented shows, due to out-of-towners coming into the city for a "family" holiday (see: Frozen), and the extra day off from school that kids get. A big chunk of the audience for The Cher Show (gays) already live in New York, and they were busy visiting their families in the midwest.

The 8 gays who actually care about Cher stopped going every night?
I thought Disney had a general policy to not list their animation-to-stage shows on TKTS, but I see both Frozen & Aladdin are listed today. So is it more the case that they generally don’t need to list these shows?
That “policy” only seems to apply to The Lion King.
No show wants to send tickets to TKTS (or any other discount). Beyond that, there is a calculus related to maintaining demand and every producer has a slightly different theory. As shows age, obviously any "policy" is likely to change unless you are stubborn against your best interests.

Aladdin is on TKTS so that Frozen isn’t lonely.

Do you have a new phone you are posting from?
I swear you used to post in parsable sentences, not not today.
No, I just write too briefly. It's a bad habit. I was nervous about some of the reviews in here. I can't possibly afford the trip to NYC right now and I was getting a bad vibe this might close before I get to see it. As for Stephanie, I would have never became a theater fan if I hadn't seen her in the first Wicked tour. I've been arranging my vacations around musical theater now. I am encouraged by all her praises in here but I don't want the show to close. Also, I am not a big fan of Cher or her music, so this is all about SJB getting that first Tony for me.

I don’t think you need to worry. The grosses aren’t putting them in immediate danger. Even so, Block can still win a Tony for the role even if the show is closed by the time of the Tonys.

It’s pulling in 1M+ a week. This isn’t King Kong. It is easily exceeding its weekly nut. It will easily run at least as long as Summer and probably longer based on the likelihood that it will receive stronger reviews and Tony nominations than Summer did. Based on buzz on here, right now I’d say that the only serious block to Block’s Tony win is possibly O’Hara in Kiss Me, Kate depending on critical response to the revival.

I was wondering that too. It was a good looking week for them!

As one of those gays (albeit not from the midwest), I stand by my statement.
I am pretty sure you've misread the demographic regardless of how it's taken.
