Uh oh --- West Side Story only did $1.4M (with 100.0% capacity) --- guess the "protests" are working!  LOL

Plus I believe it's still Broadway week (2 for 1). There will be lower grosses but hopefully attendance will remain roughly the same.

I doubt they're anywhere close. They had a rough start and the show is very expensive to run, so even though they're making money, it's not enough to return their investment anytime soon.

When do you think things will pick up again? If I can manage it, I'd like to see Moulin Rouge and Hadestown for less than $100 while those tickets are available.

Jagged Little Pill is barely on my radar (aside from subway ads) but it seems to be doing well.

We dont' know the weekly nut so not sure. We do know, however, the following:

Initial Capitalization: $21 million

Total Grosses thus far: ~$46 million

Number of weeks on Broadway: 45

Number of weeks left until closing: 18

To make the math easy, if Beetlejuice continues to have at least weekly gross of $1 million each week for the next 18 weeks, then it can possibly recoup if the weekly nut is around  $680k.  This is obviously an estimate but it's really moot unless we know the exact numbers. 

As much as I want Beetlejuice to recoup, it doesn't seem likely given how Feb is historically a slow month on Broadway and the busy season won't come again until Easter and the summer. The Winter Garden's previous tenant, School of Rock, recouped after 78 weeks on Broadway (total number of weeks for Beetlejuice total is 63 weeks.)

Hard do ascertain the impact of B'way Week on "The Inheritance," though its attendance remained about the same. At $400 thousand last week, it's likely a bit below break even.  I wish they'd engaged a star to take over for Henry, as much as people have enjoyed Goldwyn. Stunt casting for 3 months might've pushed another $75-100 grand a week.  Which it needs.
