I had guesstimated around $700K, but someone on here claimed SLIH was $850K (idk if that's true or not). I doubt Cinderella is any lower.

As iconic as it would be to keep casting Drag Race queens in Chicago, I don’t think that they should just shoe-horn in queen after queen for the sake of a gimmick. Jinkx was special because even removed from Drag Race and it’s fandom - she’s incredibly talented and a naturally born performer. They would need someone or equal scale to follow if they wanted to recreate her successful run.
That being said….. Can Sasha Colby sing? I feel like Sasha as Velma would be beyonnnnnd iconic and would absolutely bring in the audiences in droves like Jinkx has been doing. She’s the only person I can think of (besides Monet x Change as Mama. She would be iconic too!) that would impress even the non-drag fans and genuinely go toe-to-toe with the cast and bring everyone to their feet.
I think Adore could be sensational in this as well, probably as Roxie.
Correct, the same casting gimmick will not work every time, and you're going to exhaust that audience fairly quickly. Jinkx is one of the few Drag Race stars who does have some name value outside of the DR fan community. But maybe once a year?
I wonder how much CHICAGO is benefiting from tourists who might have otherwise gone to PHANTOM but now they can't because it's sold out/closing? That's not enough to fill it nightly, but it could be boosting its numbers as a long-term show with name value and available day-of inventory.
I’ve seen Jinkx 4 times now and every time I’ve noticed the theater packed with a much younger crowd than it normally is and they’re clearly there for her.
La Cage with Jinx as Albin and Chris Pine as Georges. Don't really care if they're the wrong age and voice type!

They're close enough to the right ages and voice types!!!!! But how about Luke Evans as Georges, so there can be two openly queer actors at the center of it. Or Colman Domingo or Andrew Scott or Matt Bomer.
