Bright closure.

Waitress is the only new spring musical that appears to have (financial) legs. Who would've thought?
Shuffle Along did very strong numbers for its two performances.

Nice week for Waitress overall. Hamilton is such a cash cow. I wonder what will happen when LMM leaves at some point (assuming this year)?
Hamilton will do fine without LMM. He's not the draw.

Nothing?
I wonder how much money Disaster will have lost when it ends its limited run - and how much of that they believe they're going to get back from amateur and stock rights?

That's true, we haven't had a full week of Shuffle Along grosses to compare yet.

$900+K last week, it's second highest revenue week for the year, doesn't really seem like it's hanging at all.
Great week for Broadway overall! Can't wait to see how Shuffle Along does once it has a full week!

Sammytravels, certainly not just "hanging."

Assuming LMM leaves around Summer the show is completely sold out for another 6 months after that. It will be fine without him.

no more or less than they invested, and not enough to pay an accountant to keep track of it.
Hogan, do you mean only an initial investment, or do you think additional injections of cash have been needed (a la Honeymoon In Vegas)?

It won't make one bit of difference.

Wow, Bright Star took a beating attendance wise.
Which is very typical of a show the week following their opening when they weren't selling out prior.

Oh I'm happy it did what it did.
From posts at the start of the year, I got the impression that it was slowly coming to an end. This was from those with a lot more knowledge on what's considered a good/bad week gross, than myself.
From what I can see from this weeks figures, it did better than a few shows that debuted after it. I'm a big fan so would want it to run as long as possible.

Kinky Boots was down -15.5 percent.
Didn't realize Wayne Brady was such a draw.
