Posted: 4/8/11 at 12:22amI wonder how long that section of the Broadway will be curtained off. It seems like that's for the better, though, since all reports of sightlines from back there have been bad. Hoping I end up with better seats for my group when I go in a week.

Posted: 4/8/11 at 5:47amOoo my bad!! Still I'm surprised they are allowed to report the grosses like that when they clearly aren't filling the theatre that much. It's not like they are having that many unsold seats through choice.

Allowed?
I'm guessing that the tickets that are being sectioned off are simply NOT for sale. It's a choice. If they aren't available for sale, they aren't reporting anything incorrectly.

Technically, I guess that's true. But the fact remains that they really aren't selling at 93% of the theater's capacity. And we all know that if they were selling out and had more demand, those seats would be open.
Not really a big deal though, anyone who cares about the grosses more than just a passing interest knows to do the math.
