I guess I chose the right week to go to NYC. I thought it seemed slow at a lot of the theaters and the selection at TKTS was really good.
How much longer can Barefoot survive?

Posted: 4/11/06 at 10:26amI wonder if Well will be forced out because of lack of ticket sales. Looks like the good reviews didn't help this show out.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 10:54amWhat happened with Light in the Piazza? I want to tell everyone to go see it. It was such a very wonderful show.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 11:00amNot surprised about Well at all. I saw it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 11:44amWell is one of the shows I really want to see in June when I am there. It has to hang in there!

Why did Tarzan only have four shows this week? It's kind of deceiving when each week they have a different amount of shows. Do they need the time to implement fixes?
re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 4/9/2006#11
Posted: 4/11/06 at 12:49pmThey are implementing a scaled preview period, where they add a show each week until they open. I think it's kind of neat.

Posted: 4/11/06 at 2:43pmwow Wedding Singer and Drowsy Chaperone don't seem to be doing too well
re: Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 4/9/2006#14
Posted: 4/11/06 at 2:56pmThat's what I was thinking, belter. I thought those numbers were really low for The Wedding Singer since the theater was probably 85-90% full the Wednesday night I went. Another couple at the hotel we were staying at saw it Tuesday night and said that it was full except for the very last two or three rows of the Mezz.

It's probably a little premature to be too worried about TWS and DC. Jersey Boys played to 60-70% attendance the entire six weeks it was in previews, even with good word of mouth. They may just need a little time.
