The "Millionaire's Club" doesn't mean what it use to. The big hits are all nearer to 2 Million with the rise of ticket costs. Look at the Big Numbers and a show like BANDSTAND is in trouble, it's all relevant.

I disagree. The reason those big hits are posting numbers close to or above $2mil is because of their obscenely high premium ticket pricing, those of which are miles and miles (and miles) more than an average show.
A million dollars a week is still an impressive and important stat, if you ask me.

Mother's Day weekend helped boost grosses. The next few weeks won't be so rosy if history repeats.

Am I the only one surprised to see that On Your Feet is up by 9.2%?

Well, On Your Feet's new television as stresses that you know the music and that tickets are affordable.

Do the increase of GROUNDHOG DAY's grosses signal that ANDY KARL is perhaps in the running to win the TONY? I've had a rough week (my mom is DRAMA CITY: THE MUSICAL, for starters, and my best friend just ROYALLY scr*wed me over at work) so I'm hoping for a bit of good news today.... Ugh...

I believe Tony voters are comped (please correct me if I'm wrong), so it would actually hurt grosses to have them there.
What I hope it means is that the show will survive after the Tonys, since, despite my love for it, I don't think it's going to win anything. Hopefully the increases are due to good word of mouth.
RE: On Your Feet - It seems like a show that would get a good boost for Mother's Day. A fun show, with recognizable music for families or adult kids with their parent(s). As well as cheap and easy to get tickets to.

Also, I don't know what the ad campaign has been like and if they've been sending anyone out to talk shows but it's arguably the best show for Mother's Day besides Waitress. Unless you've got a weird relationship and you want to send a message with Amelie, A Doll's House Part 2, or Miss Saigon.

I think his nomination signaled that he was in the running to win a Tony.
