True, but June and August are death valley - that's when Telecharge lays off a large number of its staff.

Interesting, since I'm looking at the 2009 grosses for all shows that opened during the 2007-2008 season or earlier. The June and August grosses, while not as high as the July grosses, are higher than just about any other month of the year. I would hardly call those bad numbers.

i thought january and february were the 'lull' months on broadway not the summer. makes sense though there is a slow down in august...its back to school month.

well, if I had to rank each month from busiest to slowest:

1. December
2. July
3. June
4. November
5. August
6. April
7. May
8. March
9. October
10. February
11. September
12. January

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The number of box office and day of/TKTS sales is a lot higher in the summer, which would explain why Telecharge axes staff during that time despite rising sales.
