I wonder why the $185K dip for Fish in the Dark? Especially in one of its final weeks.

Ouch, Hedwig. The capacity was steady but the average ticket price certainly wasn't.
Strange that the King and I is down so much.
Diggs' did well in filling the theater(6 shows only) & I'm guessing his grosses are due to give-aways.
I love the show, but I just doesn't understand why the producers are keeping ON THE TOWN open. Post a notice already.

O'Hara was on vacation. It was up on TKTS all week, too.

No, Hamilton22. Kelli was on vacation. Not strange at all.
"Strange that the King and I is down so much."
Kelli O'Hara was on vacation this past week, which is pretty much the direct reason behind the show's declines. Should be back to normal next week.
I just want Hamilton to join the top 5 grossing list

Wonder if Amazing Grace will post a closing notice soon
Ah I didn't realize Kelli was on vacation. Makes sense now.
King and I still made good money without her lol
Chicago, Gentleman's Guide, and Jersey Boys are looking a little dry
I think Hedwig still made money this week though. Darren's numbers were always in the 400s
Actually -Pinto, those numbers are good for "Chicago". What about Lion King? 2.4 million is incredible! Things are not looking so good for "Amazing Grace." "Mamma Mia's" grosses are quite nice. Someone mentioned before that their producers are looking for a new theatre. What are the chances of that happening?
Can somebody explain to me why An American In Paris is doing so well. Why are people going to see it? I'm being serious and since I haven't seen it I'm just wondering whats so great about the show

"I think Hedwig still made money this week though. Darren's numbers were always in the 400s"
Not true. They weren't always in the 400s, they were most of the time but not always, some of JCM's weeks were in the 400s too by the way.
I don't remember where I read it but I saw an article claiming Hedwig's weekly running costs are $350k plus some fees for... I sadly don't remember. So maybe they still made a bit of money last week, maybe they didn't.
Patti-
The reason people aren't saying anything about it is because it's Lion King and people would only start talking about Lion King's grosses if it DIDN'T make at least a million that week.

idk someone said that new world stages would get mamma mia, but idk about that. The Broadhurst is already a small theatre.

Darren was definitely in the upper 400ks for most of his run, with a few in 500ks and then had that unfortunate week that was about 390k. He also killed the last week with nearly 700k.
My worry is that Darren could afford to bring in smaller numbers because surely he wasn't paid as much as Taye is - you are comparing completely different people there.
Either way, as long as it stays open.
why would Taye get paid more

Why don't you tell us? I thought your friends were Broadway producers and investors.
i don't know david binder lol
"why would Taye get paid more"
Dont they all get paid different amounts? Taye is a bigger star so he'd get paid more...or am I way off base?
Taye is definitely getting paid more. But Darren is just a famous as he is, maybe even a little more relevant than Taye is with the basic b*tches who come to see the show because of Glee and his other projects.
