You act as if you are sticking up for folks, when all you are doing is dressing down others as well. ie. the poster that referred to AEA as an as...le. How was that polite?
Of course I'm dressing down (vague and unnamed) others with my comment, but in my opinion they deserve to be dressed down, so that makes it okay. :)

"I have a particular disgust for those like person B below:
A: I hear Kelly O'Hara is going to be back on Broadway in the spring.
B: Who's Kelly O'Hara?
I mean, B, are you really so stupid that you can't recognize a name despite a tiny typo? Or are you just a world-class dick?"
Or they might not know who Kelli O'Hara is.

"People like AEA AGMA SM are the reason I often don't bother to post comments here"
Interesting, considering that when a poster said he would like to see a revival of Jerry's Girls, you responded with one condescending word: "Yawn!"
If those are the comments you have to offer, it's good for all of us that you don't post them often.

And at least After Eight, who I disagree with about almost everything and find to be a bit of a curmudgeon, has a sense of humor and doesn't take himself completely seriously.
When I mentioned in a post that he was at the opening of Show Boat in 1927, he responded by telling us how much he enjoyed it.

Yeah, that makes A LOT of sense. Good job.
Raisedonmusicals, I thought the music, of course, was beautiful, as was the staging, costumes and performance. HATED the book.

Tiny spelling or grammar mistakes on a message board are not a good reason to criticize someone. Habitually picking on others for tiny spelling or grammar mistakes is, however, legitimate grounds for criticism. The first is trivial; the second is a character flaw. All of this is my opinion, of course.

You definitely did not read what part of your original message I was responding to. I was responding to the part where you think two wrongs make a right. So because they're being a pompous jerk, it's perfectly fine for you to turn around and dish it back? That's justified? That's how the perpetual cycle of bullying starts. Just saying.
I think you're putting words in my mouth about two wrongs making a right. I'll let you have the last word on this if you like, since I realize I've helped get us off-topic.

You are certainly not alone in your assessment. I actually went back a couple of weeks ago and saw it a second time, and for whatever reason, the book didn't bother me half as much as it did the first time, which was shortly after it opened. I think the cast has learned how to sell the jokes that work and soft play the ones that don't. (I'm not saying that the jokes are the book's only problem, but it just seemed better this time.)
