I wonder how long wicked will last after frozen opens.

Too long.

Also, Frozen being a successful movie has no bearing on it being a successful stage adaptation. It may make some coin on name alone, but the idea that it will unseat something earning $1m+ a week a decade into its run because it also appeals to girls seems a bit optimistic and simplistic.

Dude, they are making money every week. What alternate universe are you living in?

Yeah Paramour isnt going anywhere for awhile, the amount they make at the bar and concessions is absurd, ATG isnt looking to get rid of Cirque anytime soon

Umm, they are filling the house with the same amount of people, but those people don't have to pay as much as the summer tourists did. So they raked it in all summer, and the summer is over...

Significantly less than the grosses. Bear in mind, also, that unlike everyone except Disney, this show is a Cirque asset, not an individual enterprise. That means two thing: first, that they do not look at it the way we are used to having shows analyzed with investors and weekly nuts and investors looking for recoupment, and second, that the are outsourcing much less because they own or employ many of the cogs that make the wheels turn.

My observation was on the attendance numbers the previous three weeks (8/21 @ 87.3%, 8/28 @ 82.7%, and 9/4 @ 83.8%). It's pretty rare for them to be under 90% capacity for three weeks in a row, so I was just curious if there was anything that might have affected attendance that I wasn't thinking about.
