Wow looks like Spamalot took a bit of hit too.

I agree that The Wedding Singer will probably stay open till New Year's just like the Sweet Charity revival that played at the same theatre and had more or less the same fortune.

Margo, how much staying power do you think THE PRODUCERS has left in it?

Perhaps the huge start for ACL is due to the curiosity factor.

Odd -- Chicago was at over 100%, even though it was supposedly at TKTS at least 3 performances last week. Has any other show been over 100% and still been using TKTS?

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I'd say the Wedding Singer will last through the holidays and probably close after New Year's. As for the Producers, it's done. Anyone that's wanted to see it, has. The hype has been long gone. I'll give it one more year(close Labor Day weekend).

And I remember getting tickets for Avenue Q & Phantom at the TKTS booth and then seeing it's grosses the following week at about 95%-100%.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Just following up on this conversation from yesterday, today's Daily Variety quoted a net gross potential for A Chorus Line of $721,413 for last week's schedule of seven performances. That figure would represent what the show could potentially bring in with all orchestra and front mezzanine ($111.25) and rear mezzanine ($86.25) tickets going at their full price rate, without any discounting. A Chorus Line had a net gross of $759,599, which is $38,000 above the show's potential net gross, meaning not only did everyone in the theatre pay full price to be there, but the show also did significant premium ticket business in its first week. Again, it's a terrific start for the production.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

THE PRODUCERS isn't going to run another year. Even if the rumours of a New Year's Eve closing don't pan out, they would have to do something miraculous to keep it going another 12 months if its numbers stay where they are.
