this made me cry for comet. again.

I couldn't see a single empty seat at Comet on Friday or Saturday afternoon from where I was sitting, so I am not surprised by these numbers. So glad they went out with a bang.

I have followed the discussions regarding Great Comet, so I understand that its prospects were dim from the get-go, and of course its producers presumably knew that the advance sale was dismal.

Just out of curiosity, though, how many other open-ended productions have closed without ever actually posting a bad week?

1)When the show sells Standing Room.

2)It's the highest ticket price offered, Premium Seats.

Newsies always printed money, but Disney closed it because they were bored (?)

I thinkNewsieswas a lot more expensive then we all like to think. Add to that if I had to guess Dinsney thought it would close before the tour would.Thusthey decided to split the difference and save some money, and close the Broadway production so they could tour with the Broadway sets."

1) It didn't cost more that we (or at least I) think.

2) The tour was entirely new physical production.
