Isn't there a show already booked for the Hirschfield this spring? So this closing is basically inevitable, right?

Meanwhile, how about that $116.93 average ticket price for Jersey Boys? Holy, Jeebus. Closest thing is Wicked, almost $17.00 less at $100.39.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Wait'll all those 250 dollar Chorus Line premium tickets get snapped up! Then we'll see some high averages!
(Of course, they're actually going to be going for 50 on TKTS, but what the hell.)

No way in hell i'd pay over $70 bucks for any theater ticket. It's just a waste of money.
As much as I enjoyed my time at Wedding Singer, it isn't the best. And, like I said after I saw Sweeney, Broadway is meant to be - or at least, should be - the best that the theater world has to offer. So bump it out of there and put in a new show - one that got better review (Curtains).

<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.
-Dre- You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

Why is everyone so sensitive on here? I am thrilled these terrible shows will be closing and there is a slight possibility a real musical could emerge. Doubtful though because all I see now are lame revivals (Company, Les Miz).
These ticket prices are ridiculous. Weren’t they charging $200 for premium seats at Tarzan? Get ready for $120.00 per ticket plus taxes.

i'll only pay over $70 for theatre in NY. i would never see a thing on tour for more than that. touring Broadway is just pathetic. at least in NY i'm guaranteed they'll have the sound right and i won't have people sloshing in front of me with some wine in their hands.

I've really only ever seen tour shows (I rarley get to NYC), and I've had pretty decent experiences with tour shows. Maybe you just have a bad theater?

Why do you feel the need to compare? DRS actually finished at 80.6% while Sweeney finished at 84%. That statement makes no sense to me, but ehh whatever makes you happy.
