Thanks Hogan. I know when I looked at Ticketmaster last week two tickets popped up for $549.00 ea and they weren't resale tickets as they had the blue dot. This might sound like a stupid question but I assume Premium and Top Ticket are the same thing? I was curious if it is 549.00 if the BO results are being under reported. I dont have a clue how many seats are considered premium pricing these days.

Well premium means any ticket sold at over the standard rate, and can include prices below the "top." There can be errors more easily in reporting the top price because it is not a part of the audit flow. The same can also happen with capacity figures because in any given week there might be some seats that are not sold. (Usually this would be a maintenance issue, but there are others, such as when seats are taken out of service due to filming etc.) Regarding how many, anyone's guess. At Hamilton, "lots."

Thanks for the info Hogan. Years ago when Premium was just starting I know closer to curtain if they werent sold they would drop down to regular price. I assume Hamilton has not done that at all?

I just noticed seats for tonight popped up. This shows the premium price of $549.00

Yes, I see 5 premium seats in row F and G being offered at the moment. Does that only happen for otherwise sold out shows when the seats have first been offered to (and rejected by) those in the cancellation line?

Most shows do play around with the inventory but I would think Hamilton has been deprived of that opportunity.

FWIW I don't think G102 is a great seat for Hamilton, and I think it is the seat I sat in the first time I saw it on Broadway.

It's amazing to see "Wicked" having a lower than 80% weekly gross. My favorite show had a nice increase over the previous week.

So nice to see CURIOUS INCIDENT & LES MIZ go out strong.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Dunno but my guess would be non-existent after the first of the year. The only question to me is why they bumped it a couple weeks.

Inventory that isn't selling before showtime drops to regular prices. A premium Hamilton ticket still sells quickly.

Wicked still made 1.4 million dollars. Don't get too excited. And I assume you mean "gross potential" not weekly gross...

I'm just amazed that Wicked refuses to release any type of discount now or offer tickets via TKTS. They only played to 83% capacity & had 2,400 unsold seats. Put some seats up for 20% and I'm sure people will buy them.

False economy.

I agree with Neon. Once you start discounting, the demand shifts. It's no different than understanding that a larger house is not always the best profit-maximizing strategy.

WOW, so happy for Les Mis. They knocked Book of Mormon out of the top 5, which hasn't been done in a long time!
