Broadway L.A. and Ahmanson 2009/2010 Season Speculation!

Since POPPINS and SPAMALOT are going to the Ahmanson, what will go to the Pantages?

Oh I would LOVE to see that here!

I am for one am very disappointed the Ahmanson is not producing one original musical in 09-10. As for Spamalot, this has to be the 9th national tour or something like that by now. At least we get the Donmar Warehouse production of PARADE at the Taper.
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"

Anyone think that YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and a possible tour of JOSEPH will make their way to the Pantages? What else?

Center Theatre Group (Ahmanson/Taper/Douglas) is a non profit organization. This means that major funding is from the US government and season subscribers/donors.

At these troubled financial times, I doubt audience are willing to pay for such high priced tickets.

Ahmanson invested $$$ for "9 TO 5" and "MINSKY'S". Now they depend on National Tours next season to recoup their finances.

Their Groups Sales are in trouble too because of bad customer service.

B-way L.A.'s website reads: Last Chance For 2009 Season Packages.

Maybe they will add some 2010 show and make a package using the late 2009 shows? Or keep going by year, not season?
