Was watching ACL this AM on LOGO...what garbage they made of it...but ya gotta love the '85 fashion!

I kinda like the Audrey Landers as Val tho...guess I thought she'd stink and she didnt.

oh...my vote, duh, Sweeney Todd w/ Meryl Streep!
(only because Dreamgirls is in the works already.)

I think if AIDA were to be made into a movie, I'd go through the exact process of anger and denial I went through when Rent production started.

All Shook Up(w/ Cheyenne and Jenn)
Sweeney Todd
Avenue Q
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels(remake with John and Norbert)
SpamAlot(remake with Curry, Azaria, and Pierce)
The Odd Couple(remake with Lane and Broderick)
Urinetown

I'd really like to see a remake of Little Shop of Horrors with the original ending.

L5Y puh-lease puh-lease (of course with Norbert and Sherie)

Also I'd like to see Miss Saigon (surprised nothing has ever been done about that actually) and Sweeney

AIDA I'd also love but I'm a little scared what the 'Disney factor' would do ....

I think FOREVER PLAID would make a charming little TV movie which would make you cry your eyes out.

Definitely Wicked since I'll probably never see it on Broadway. (I don't live in NY. I'm basing this off of the music and any info I can get on shows.)

Into the Woods (Loved the music.)
Les Mis (Not a fan, but it would be fun)
Jekyll and Hyde (I loved the music to this.)
Hairspray (which is in the works, right?)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The Boy From Oz
42nd Street (would a "remake" work?)

Miss Saigon
Wicked (I agree on the big budget Lord of the Rings-esque concept, I'd like to see Espinosa and Chenoweth star)
Les Mis.
Phantom- let's just do that over, please.
Aida
Spelling Bee (w/ real kids, a silly dream, I kno)
Thoroughly Modern Millie (I am obsessed w/ the Julie Andrews/Mary Tyler Moore/Carol Channing original, but think a remake could do no harm)
Passionella from The Apple Tree (obviously would have to be expanded.)

Oh, and I also vote for Man of La Mancha.

AVENUE Q.
It would be fun to see it done like the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", puppets being animated or CGIs and the 'human' characters being played by humans.

MAN OF LA MANCHA was filmed, but very badly. Peter O'Toole, Sophia Loren, and several other people known for their singing.
