Ummm, I am such a royal mess lately that one song doesn't cover it...so it's like a Broadway medley:

"Maybe it's Magic"-Into the Woods
"The Music That Makes Me Dance"- Funny Girl
"Loving You"- Passion
"Losing My Mind"- Follies
"Now You Know"- Merrily We Roll Along
"Everybody Says Don't"- Anyone Can Whistle
"I Am Who I Am"- Dude
"Everything's Alright"-JCS
"Buenos Aires"- Evita
"You Have To Learn To Live Alone"- Starmania/Tycoon
"Something's Coming"- West Side Story

Wow, it's more like a concert...I'm a royal mess

The last verse of And Then There Were None right about now. Except I'm not killing myself. I'm just bummed out in general.

"It's Today" Mame.
"The Best of Times is Now" La Cage Aux Folles.

I wish I could say that the song that best describes me is from some little-known musical, that only a few people have ever heard of. But I can't. Though well-known, Jerry Herman wrote ballads and uplifting tunes to get you through the day. The messages in the two songs listed above represent how we should live everyday. And their tunes aren't too bad either re: Broadway Song That Best Describes You
"Light the candles! Get the ice out! Roll the rug up, it's today!"

Losing my Mind - Follies
and most recently
A Way Back to Then - [tos]
"As we all should probably have learned by now, to be a Stephen Sondheim fan is to have one's heart broken at regular intervals" - Frank Rich

"I think it's appropriate: iSondheim - a Sondheim for the new generation! (wailing guitar riff) Get your kids hooked early on Sondheim, so they'll grow up to be just as emotionally stilted and self-conscious as we are! - BustopherPhantom

re: Broadway Song That Best Describes You

Yesterday I answered "On My Own" which kind of summed up how I felt until about 11 years ago. Today, at this point in my life, I'd have to say "I'm Here" from The Color Purple.
