re: Broadway Song That Best Describes You

Hmmm, no entire song, but the one with parts that remind me of myself or at least strike home:

"Company" from Company

"I Cain't Say No."
"Why, I make more money than... than... than Calvin Coolidge! PUT TOGETHER!"
~Lina Lamont

My name wasn't, isn't, and will never be Scott.

At the risk of sounding all "emo" or dramatic, I'd say that I really identify with "Someone is Waiting" from Company.

"You Can Get Away With Anything" from "The Woman In White."

I'm not a criminal, but I'm definitely badly behaved. And yet I never get in trouble because I'm so darn ingratiatingly adorable!

Another Hundred People from Company.

Whoa, Winston, you're in good... company... what with all of these people picking songs from "Company."

"Some People"-GYPSY
"Pirate Jenny"-THREEPENNY OPERA

And when I'm in the mood, no song describes me better than NINE's "A Call from the Vatican" re: Broadway Song That Best Describes You
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

On My Own from Les Mis

Don't kill me.

I apologoze for going a;; "Beauty and the Beast" but in all honesty, "Home" and "A Change in Me."

Also, "Home" from Maury Yeston's "Phantom"

"No One is Alone" from Into the Woods. That song is pretty much what I'm all about.
I'm not a gay stereotype. I'm a coincidence.

Right now, "I'm in Love with a Wonderful Guy".
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Thank you for mentioning ITW. DEFINITELY "Children Will Listen/Finale" from Into the Woods! Kind of my life philosophy.

Second Places: "Any Moment/Moments in the Woods."
"Find My Way" from Legally Blonde actually really touches me...A few years ago, I might have said "Cockeyed Optimist." "The Next Ten Minutes" feels pretty accurate, disregarding the actual sequence of events in the show. Shannon, "For Now" is a good mantra - I wish I could follow it enough to list it to describe me.

Oh you meant ONE song? Whoops.

"For Now" from Avenue Q has been my mantra lately.

Also, "A Way Back to Then" from [tos] is pretty accurate. You know, except the whole moving to NYC thing..that's just something I want to do. But the emotion and the dreaming and nostalgia, definitely me.

"There Are Worse Things I Could Do" - Grease.

Seriously.
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)
