Broadway Song that best fits your life

And I mean your ACTUAL life, not your pretend life! (And PLEASE put the name of the show it comes from...)

Mine is probably "Baby, Dream Your Dream" from Sweet Charity.

Though lately, I might say, "Alone in the Universe" from Suessical

At the moment, I'd have to go with "It Sucks To Be Me" from Avenue Q.
"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time." --NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms

Currently, "Someone Like You," from Jekyll & Hyde. In general, maybe "Five Forever" from Little Women. Or, "Astonishing."

"Every Goodbye is Hello" from John and Jen (I know it's not broadway but...sorry). There is alot going on with college and parting from my friends and this song gets me through alot.

In general, it's always going to be "Getting to Know You" from the King and I simply for the line: "By your pupils you'll be taught."

re: Broadway Song that best fits your life

Chrysanthemum, I kind of agree with "Not For The Life of Me," although it may have been more appropriate a few years ago. My parents and I saw Millie after I attended a pre-college program in NYC (at the school I go to now), and after she sang the line "Manhattan, I prepared for you," my dad leaned over and whispered, "She sounds like you." "Not For The Life of Me" and "Only in New York" will always have a lot of sentimental value.

I'm not sure what song best fits my life right now, but in a year and a half it will be "I Wish I Could Go Back to College" from Avenue Q. re: Broadway Song that best fits your life

i just have a particular line that is really my life right now.

"where do we go from here, this isn't where we intended to be." from the evita movie... i know, not broadway. enough. but the whole song is not me. just that line.

This is the Moment- Jekyll and Hyde

Awesome Song and I sang it as my senior final for Chorus and it was really good.
It was 6 hours, I don't even like to have sex and eat bacon for 6 hours.

"Popular" - Wicked.

what? somebody had to say it.

Actually a song that goes with an ongoing theme in my life would be "Who Will Love Me As I Am" from Sidshow. Also "I Can Do Better Than That" and slightly like "Moving Too Fast" from The Last 5 Years

"Sucks to be Me" almost always, sadly, fits. However, Climbing Uphill from "The Last 5 Years" works too.
