"Sucks to be me"
"Purpose"
~Avenue Q
Now, where is Miss. Corine?
Most all the Avenue Q songs fit once in a while.
However, "I wish I could back to college" has not gotten in there yet because I am still in college.

I'll be a huge nerd and say "Storybook" from The Scarlet Pimpernel, because I'm a very hopeless romantic.
But "It Sucks to Be Me" is always a good choice, too.

"In My Life" (Just Cosette's part, obviously) plus "I'm Not That Girl"
I get lost, unless, of course, I'm getting found.

"Still Hurting" from Last 5 Years. ::mopes::
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?"
"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."
"Did you say, 'nonetheless'?"
- The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

Schadenfreude from Avenue Q, The Doctor is In from You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, or I Can Do Better Than That from The Last 5 Years.
"The tick BOOM tick BOOM is so loud I can't hear the rain on the grass. I can't hear the wind. I'm about to scream. But I realize I'm not alone."

"Send in the Clowns"
"No On Knows Who I Am"- Jekyll & Jyde
"Comedy Tonight"- Forum
"I Am Who I AM"- La Cage
"Funny"- City Of Angels
(cynical, me? OH, surely not!)
And, there is a line from a play and a line from a short story that *really* fit my life (yeah, I know it asked for a song, but these really fit best.) The short story line is the one I use as my signature file - "We are all misfits, I guess, inthe theatre..."
The play line in from a production of Winnie the Pooh I did in high school and again in college. (yup, the children's theatre thing again). I don't recall the exact quote, but it basically says- "It isn't a very important life, but it is a happy one." Yup, that pretty much sums up my life as a community theatre serf. I may not get paid much, but I'm doing something that makes me happy- which is a hell of a lot more than anyone else can say. Wow, I've never thought of it that way before....I really AM one of the luckiest people in the universe. You know, ignore the songs I mentioned earlier. I don't really think they apply (well, maybe sometimes, but only in specific situations). I think the quotes are really the ones that most apply to me. Amazing the odd places that true realizations come to you.....Thank you all....

It varies from day to day, but right now I'd say "Purpose" from Avenue Q.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
And Starbucks will use the words 'large' and 'small', not pretentious crap like grande and tall.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Astonishing from Little Women. It defines who I am. I want to be astonishing. And when she says " I may be small, but I've go giant plans", thats just like me. I am very small (5'0 and 98 pounds) but I do have big plans and expectations.
"You alone can make my song take flight, it's over now, the Music of the Night!!!!!"
