Check Your Personality, yes, you spelled Roxane's name correctly. You've actually been one of the few to get it right! lol Be sure to check out her website: www.roxanecarrasco.com
What did you think of her, by the way? Sorry for all the questions, but you're new and she's a friend -- I'm curious lol
Quibbler, I kind of figured as much after I posted my response to you... I just figured you would have put "x2" or something after their name lol

Linda Eder - after recent concert - autograph and chatted briefly about the video for Someone Like You, it was filmed as a period J&H piece - she laughed and thought she would never hear anyone mention it.
Jennifer Holliday - I told her how fabulous she is and I worship her. She laughed and then I said I wanted to kiss her feet - she "oh no, you really don't!!"
Lea Thompson - Cabaret tour. She's fabulous and so sweet and very short as is Jennifer Holliday.
Bernadette Peters - stagedoor this past winter - how nice is she!!
Hugh Jackman - I was about the only man standing at the stage door!
B.D. Wong - autograph after performance of Charlie Brown (Kristin didn't come out)..he was really nice too.
Eartha Kitt - Cinderella cast party, she likes to treated like anyone else and not be "treated like a star", but she's a true diva HUSSY!

I cant believe I'm a total loser and forgot Harry Connick Jr and Jill Goodacre. They used to live down the street from me... taught me how to rollerblade
Tom Selleck also used to live in my neighborhood, as did Faye Dunaway, until the city told her she couldn't keep her Giraffes (we weren't zoned for it! lol).

"I cant believe I'm a total loser and forgot Harry Connick Jr and Jill Goodacre. They used to live down the street from me... taught me how to rollerblade"
I have to ask, are they an incredibly nice couple? I ask because when I was younger (13!) I was COMPLETELY in love with Harry. (Still am to a degree, but not as crazy as I was when I was little...) When they had their first baby, I went to a CD signing and gave Harry a pillow I made for her with her name on it with a card attached...a few weeks later, Harry CALLLS me on the phone to thank me and Jill sent me the sweetest thank you card.
I was SO touched...I thought they seemed like such a great couple and it meant a lot to me! So glad they're still together with three gorgeous kids! :)

Man, showoff thread.
There are actors that I've talked with ranging from 1 minute to an hour. But I won't go into it because...well, I don't know, it just sounds like this thread is 'let's play who has the most connections' or whatever.
And I am sure that some people here just definitely won't even *try* to make a list.

nycdncr you did ACL with Rox? Private Message me... I'd love to hear more.
As for Harry and Jill, yes they're VERY sweet! I actually had no idea who they were by looking at them, but my mom had a coronary.... I'll post the story later on cause I'm running out the door now.

Okay I lied. Apparently Im not running out the door, so I'll post the story now.
I was rollerblading back and forth outside my house and having trouble (I had just gotten them)... Harry and Jill were skating by and he stopped. "Hi, I'm Harry and this is my wife Jill, we live down the street. Do you want a little help? Why don't you try this....." and then they spent about 15 minutes skating with me. Meanwhile, my mother's in the driveway gawking... When I finally came back down the driveway she looked at me and said "Do you know who that was?" I said "Yeah, that's Harry and Jill, they live down the street... really nice." My mom just gasped and said "Hon, that was HARRY CONNICK JR and JILL GOODACRE!"
I felt like such a moron for not recognizing them lol

CJR - I adore your Harry Connick story. WHat an adorable couple. I love to hear things about celebrities being normal nice people. And being the worlds worst rollerblader I'm a bit jealous of you! If you run into them again feel free to let them know I could use a little help!
um, famous people I have met ... Sigourney Weaver, Hunter Foster, Christian Bale, "Barbara Jean" from Reba (on the wb - not really famous but she was incredibly nice), Glenn Close (so beautiful in person), Karolina Kurkova (sweetest supermodel ever) - I haven't really met too many people. i'm not a wait around at the stage door kind of a gal. I see people a lot on the street, but never stop. Although P Diddy did check me out one day!

There are more but those are the most recent ones

Thanks, shesings. They were definitely sweet... lived about 3 blocks from me and went to my church as well. Between singing in my choir and living that close, I wound up seeing them all the time

Um, okie dokie... a few things.
A.) When did Liz McConahay become a broadway "STAR"? (Not to say she SHOULDN'T be one... I love her to death, but only like five people know who she is...) Did I black out and miss something?
B.) This thread reminds me of high school superlatives. The more 'people' you know, the more "cool points" you get. Yeah, not my cup of tea.
Please continue. :)

Posted: 7/27/04 at 8:02amIf you don't like it, don't read it. Wow....simple as that. Some people enjoy finding out who's met who. I don't think it's as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. After all, this is a Broadway fan site.....just because you don't seem to find this one aspect of being a fan exciting doesn't mean someone else might find meeting a star to be the best thing ever.
