I didn't read this whole thread, but I'm pretty sure Wicked has never been on Regis and Kelly.
Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

I'm going to the taping on Thrusday, got the tickets awhile ago, and am really excited that it's Broadway Week. I also heard that Meryl Streep will be there.

odd choices, in my opinion;
pretty women instead of something featuring patti too
steam heat? its a good number but lacks any of the nominees
no wedding singer?

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Yeah, I thought they were weird choices too. Everything but Wedding Singer? Although, Wedding Singer will be on the Today show, so maybe they didnt want to have too many early morning performances that week? At least we get LaChanze singing "I'm Here" - I cannot wait to hear her.

It is my understanding that Patti has been sick lately, and I have a feeling that the producers are making the wise choice of saving her voice so she can be back to normal health come the actual Tonys. So, with this in mind, Pretty Women is a perfect choice seeing as Patti isn't featured or essential. Though I would have killed to see "A Little Priest" (pun intended), I'll just have to hold out for the Tonys I guess!

I think it's good that they'll be doing numbers that we won't probably see the next Sunday night, allthough I could never get too much of Sutton.
Thanks for the info. I don't normally watch daytime TV, but I'm on vacation next week, with Millie in Newark, and now this, I won't have much time left for all the projects I had planned.

Gypsy, when I did standby, a lot of people got in...I'm not sure they even turned anyone away.

I'm really looking forward to this.
I love Tony season- my Tivo is constantly recording Broadway-related stuff for a few weeks.
Sort-of related: I just saw that Brian Stokes Mitchell is performing on the Today show on Tuesday.

Wonderful performance! I didn't go unfortunatly but they rocked! It was great to see Dorothy Stanley in her costumes (I had no idea they would put her in a black wig). Awesome.
Happy...Everything!
