Broadway breaking boundaries whilst we stagnate

I saw this play last week. The cast was excellent though we could not hear the actress well who played Maggie. Frankly, the play is dated. Several others in the audience expressed disappointment in the play during intermission. They came for the lead actors not knowing what to expect. I knew the story and appreciated the actors, but overall felt something was missing. Perhaps the problem was not being able to hear most of what one of the leads was saying. We saw 3 plays last week, sat in the orchestra for all of them,and she was the only person we had trouble hearing.

We saw November (rating D), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (rating B-) and Spamalot (rating A). I don't care much for musicals. Dramas/comedies are usually my thing. I had been looking forward to Cat but came away disappointed. Before seeing them, I expected to rate the shows differently, thinking that Cat would be an (A) and the other two a (B) for mildly amusing. Instead the only one I really liked of the three was Spamalot.
