You know, I love Hugh, he's funny and charming and he's a great host... BUT I would have liked to see someone else for a change this year.

I don't like Hugh, but at least we know he'll get the job done. And who cares about ratings? It's Broadway, our little corner of culture. If people don't watch it's their very big and unfortunate loss. I for one will watch from start to finish despite the host, but next time I want someone different!!!!!!!!

I think he's a great choice. Class act, charismatic, wonderful guy, loves Broadway. What more do you want?
Honestly, we need more people associated with Broadway that laymen will recognize on the streets. Granted, they have to be good enough to withstand the scrutiny of snobby New York theatre-goers. But, as long as they are, BRING EM ON! Give me my Krakowskis, Brodericks, Jackmans, Applegates, Currys, and Azarias! Attention must be paid!

The reason the ratings are terrible is because IT IS A THEATER AWARDS SHOW. Broadway is not part of the mainstream, so, of course, lots of people won't watch it.

Whatever the ratings may be, I'm sure a large number of people involved in THEATER across America watch it, though. Just not regular people.

I'm depressed. There were so many other great people that could have hosted: Billy Crystal, Woopie Goldberg, Mario Cantone, even Rosie O'Donnell! Three years in a row with Hugh Jackman? It was fun the first year, and kind of entertaining last year, but now it's just going to be monotonous.
