But for future reference, I love Robin Williams... and I think he would be hilarious as a host for absolutely anything, but not so much Ellen or even Billy...

As much as I would have liked to see someone else host this year, I still must say YAY! My non-theater world friends might actually watch something Broadway for once. (er, twice, since they watched part of the Tonys last year)

But Robbie, these are the three most taltented people on the planet. Everyone would watch, and I mean EVERYONE. Could you imagine the hilarity that would ensue with the three funniest people EVER hosting the Tonys? The only thing that would make it better is if Jackie Mason joined them.

Slightly off-topic, but I think given the ratings for the Tonys, I would love if they just moved the broadcast to Bravo or something cable. We could have more time to see performances and it just wouldn't have so many rules, and with the ratings the way they are, the show wouldn't have to be so compromised for "ratings." Oh well.

I loved Hugh. He was great at the last two. I can't see why anyone would think he wouldn't be as good the third time.

I'd rather be "bored" by the song and dance routine and lively theatre talk by the likes of Hugh ( who has shown how much he cares for Broadway and the theatre, despite a successful movie career) than be "amused" by the canned monologues I see at the OSCARS :rolleyes:
