OK, Ann Harada and Stephanie D'Abruzzo starting "If You Were Gay" was just priceless.

Got to Bryant Park around 12; very, very crowded. Who were those people? LOL. Don't they have jobs? :)

Anyway, they were running way behind. Saw the LSOH and Avenue Q sound checks, which are eseentially run-throughs without the puppets. LSOH did the title song and "Feed Me", the latter being hysterical because at that point in the show, there's a puppeteer IN the plant, and to see him practicing the choreography without the puppet was really neat. Avenue Q did the title song, "If You Were Gay" and "The More You Ruv Someone", the sound check all hands-only. During the sound check for "The More..." the engineeres played the beginning of "If You Were Gay" accidentally, to which Stephanie D'Abruzzo just began.

"I mean 'cause HEY!" - Stephanie. ::laughter:: "That's what you guys get for coming for the sound check.

Since I'd been there for both of those, I decided only to stay through WICKED.

Melissa Fahn and Eden Espinosa.

First of all, there were tons and tons and tons of Eden fans there. Lots of "I LOVE YOU EDEN"'s. She was floored. Melissa was wearing the Pouplar shirt, and Eden the "Defy Gravity" shirt. Melissa, for those who don't know, has long brown hair, which she Galindafied with a pink flower (not the same one as JLT or KC used in the show). She has a very sweet voice, and the song was great! It was blazing hot out, and the huge at the end of FG looked a little sticky :)

H-O-T. :) I love Derrick as Fiyero, and he was ON! Riffs a lot of the notes, so charming :)

Eden finished with "The Wizard and I", which was, of course, amazing. She literally got a standing ovation from many in the Park audience.

I was there, it was great! Aida- A Step Too Far, I Know the Truth, Like Father Like Son, Easy as Life. I liked Mickey Dolenz better out here in the park than at the theater. Cheyenne (sorry about the spelling) was great as well.
Little Shop- Title song, Dentist, Get It, Suddenly Seymour. I was impressed overall, though the sound was off. Joey Fatone had to give Jessica his mike in S.S. because hers wasn't working. They brought the real plant out though, which was great. Another sound comment- It was incredibly loud, so when everyone was singing, it was quite like shrieking to the point of painful. Still worth seeing!

yay! isn't eden the best! hehe. i'm glad that everyone had a good time. i'm SOOOOOO pissed that i couldn't go.
