It had a couple of brief cuts in it and Gemignani was rushing through the "Good Thing Going" section, as usual ... but still, I was glad they put the "Gypsy" Overture aside for one year.

I was there too, and I'm not goiing to say much, but I think John Tartaglia WAS sick (though he is great at covering it up with his enthusiasm) because he called out for the Avenue Q matinee.
I was in the front only behind a few people. If anyone noticed the guy who was either shirtless most of the time or wearing the Mario Cantone shirt, I was standing near him most of the time...ehh

Little Women and Brooklyn were the only yet-to-open shows that performed. I think it's still to early to tell for each of them.

Sutton was incredible! I can't wait for Little Women.
Avenue Q was outstanding and I met Amyee, who is a doll.

Yeah, but jonart--What is this feeling requires the chorus to be done right. For Broadway on Broadway, it's easiest to do small chorus dance-y numbers (like Hunter & the girls in the Producers or Run and Tell That from Hairspray) or just lead actors singing. I guessed that they would do For Good--it seemed like the best choice, since Idina did The Wizard and I last year.

Sutton was wonderful and Eden was exhilerating, and if you agree...just wait until you see Eden and Ramona in Brooklyn as I have. After seeing Sutton, I am now looking forward to Little Women as well.

I had on a black Chicago Crop Top and cream colored cargo pants... I was back and forth the whole day.

Yeah, the guy in the Laugh Whore Tank was a little er, interesting... we actually had Broadway.com photograph him.

dumb question- in previous years i've ntocied that there is always chorus singers for lack of a better term backstage during some numbers. why is this?... more specifically why not just give the chorus members on stage mics

Mm, I'm also interested in seeing the televised version of this. If someone will tape it for me, I'm willing to pay shipping and cost of tape...I go to school all the way down in Florida...this way I can decide what to see when I go home for Winter Break re: Broadway on Broadway review Just PM me if you can help!

Oh, and it might take a while to respond if Ivan pulls a Charley and slams into Tampa after all, so I apologize now if I don't respond right away re: Broadway on Broadway review

I saw CJR too! I was with the group right by Toys R Us and you walked by, but were to far away to say Hi.
I thought the show was great! My niece did too, I ended up taking her to see Beauty and the Beast. It was awful. I'm sorry to say that, but it really was. My niece loved it though, she's 9.

"Shakalaka Baby" is also lip-synched because of the context in which the number takes place. They are on a film set in Mumbai, and as in all Bollywood films, the actors lip-synch to the track as they dance. So onstage, the director yells "Action!" and the performers make like Bollywood actors and lip-synch.

But also, yes it'd be very dangerous to wear mics considering they dance under a huge fountain that shoots 100 ft into the air.

It will be cut and edited of course.... But I'll be watching nonetheless. I didn't get to see a whole lot of the numbers.

I did like Shakalaka Baby, even though I spent the whole day with it stuck in my head.
