I am supposed to be going to New York this Saturday. My parents and I are plannig just to drop in at the box office to see what show we should see. Anybody know some good ones besides Chicago (already seen it)?
Without a doubt the highest caliber of talent and quality shows on Broadway right now:
Wicked
Beauty and the Beast
Phantom of the Opera
Id go for Rent!

Well dont plan on popping into the box office at the Gershwin and walking away with tickets.... They're so sold out that the 'this performance is sold out' sign has been screwed to the wall.
You try some of the solo shows -- Mario Cantone (which is HYSTERICAL), Whoopi, The Good Body, Dame Edna
You could try La Cage or Hairspray.
Avoid Brooklyn at all costs; I want that hour and a half of my life back! There were more constructive things I could have been doing with my time rather than sitting in the Plymouth clawing my eyes out and praying for the show to be over already....
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Avenue Q! Or RENT.
Wicked ( you could try the lottery, no guarantees you'll get tickets, though)
Hairspray
Rent
Avenue Q
Phantom of The Opera
Mario Cantone

Thanks everybody!
I am not even going to let my parent know what kind of stuff is in Avenue Q! I am only 13 so my choices are limited. My mom says Rent is okay thought. She listened to my cast recording and I told her most of the "mature" stuff in it. I might have to wait to see Rent because my parents might take me to see it for my birthday (which is on Leap Year so it isn't in 4 years. Oh well!). Does anybody know the age group for Brooklyn?
Predominatantly under 14 and female.
42nd Street is closing soon. The dancing is amazing, and I enjoyed every minute of this show.
I would also recommend Beauty and the Beast and the Producers. Little Women is also in previews now.
What is the discount now for Beauty and the Beast? They have a box there to enter a promo code, so there has to be one valid now...not the sale2 code because that is for performances for next year.

I was thinking about seeing Movin' Out. Is that supposed to be any good. The music is good, because I bought the cast recording. I saw Beauty and the Beast when I was like four. I missed it with Christy Carlson Romano.
"I missed it with Christy Carlson Romano."
And from what I hear, you should be thankful.
I saw CCR in Bryant Park. She was off-key.
