this is probably a dumb question but, what is the difference between myspace and friendster? personally i think friendster is a much better organized thing, myspace looks sloppy.

Not much really. I just like myspace better, and more people I know are on it. It also doesn't seem to have as many limits on who you can talk to. But I don't know Friendster very well.

I don't think there is a difference, really, except that Myspace is a lot more popular. Friendster does look neater (Myspace actually annoys the hell out of me), but no one I know is on Friendster and everyone I know is on Myspace.

all my college friends are on Friendster, but all the students i teach are on myspace - that's why i stick with friendster.

Nearly all the recent Rent cast members have MySpaces. I'm not sure how many are actually run by them. I believe at least Caplan and Shields's are run by someone else.

Celia's got some really cute pictures on her space, & I'm always trying to convince her to put more up, but I don't think she's aware that we now get 12 pictures instead of 10. I actually met her through MySpace, and we've gotten pretty close.

Sorry to say most of the Myspace webpages I have seen look pretty crappy. I suppose the attraction is that it is "free", but with the flashing/moving/noisy ads hardly any of them look the least bit attractive. Gives me a headache. I don't even bother visiting.

I think Friendster actually has more Broadway actors on it (John Lloyd Young, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Barrett Foa, Mary Faber, etc., etc...), and it's actually them running it.

It's so mindless to make a fake Friendster.

I'm pretty sure the people that I've mentioned really run their own Friendsters - my friend talked to Mary Faber about hers, and the others just seem like the personalities of the actors.
